Former NBA player, Manute Bol, was mostly known for his outstanding height as the tallest player in NBA history (tied with Gheorghe Muresan). His heart, however, outgrew his 7′7″ frame. After leaving the NBA, Bol spent much of his money that he earned during his time in the NBA to help rebuild his native country Sudan. He also used his fame to start the Ring True Foundation, which helped Sudanese refugees. You may remember seeing him take down William “The Refridgerator” Perry on FOX’s Celebrity Boxing, but he also dabbled as a hockey player and a horse jockey - only for fund-raising purposes of couse. He died on Saturday due to a kidney disease.
